The Paul Morelli “Tapesserie” 18K Drop Earrings currently on Rue La La, while completely sold out, are noteworthy for the brand’s modern take on traditional romantic forms. Seriously - I googled the brand subsequent to seeing this pair of earrings and their website is superb. This, apparently, is what happens when design *actually* goes into creating jewelry. Unfortunately (and there is an unfortunately), design, as usual, comes with a price. The above set of earrings (available in white or gold gold!) were on RLL for a whooping $499, down from $1,200. WHAT?! I can get diamonds for less! And yet, by the time I had clicked onto RLL, they were all sold out. I can only surmise that there were only a few pairs available; the mind boggles at a great number of women who readily plunk down half a G on an online shopping whim.
