I have never heard of this Michele Siegel person, and apparently outside of any association with Gilt, Google hasn’t either (except to tell me s/he is a “private jeweler”—just SOUNDS rich right?) but that’s okay, because I do rather like this Round and Princess Cut Diamond Ring Band. Discussing silver + colorless stone jewelry, especially in the ring department, is usually a boring task because once you’ve seen one, you’ve pretty much seen them all, but I think the added dimension of a row of stones above and under the central band is different without being dated. It also helps that all those little stones are diamonds (!!)—52 round cut and 26 princess cut, for a total of 78 diamonds and 4.23 carats. For $3,300, down from $8,300, this baby in size six can be yours forever.
For the rest of us poor peons, the cubic zirconium and sterling silver edition should pass under the radar quite unnoticeably for a fraction of the price. The price is kind of high for something made out of those materials, so I can only assume that this kind of ring does require a fair amount of craftsmanship.
