Although known primarily for their (awesome, crystal-studded) jeans, Rock & Republic also has some fingers in the shoe pot. I won’t lie—up until now I didn’t really think any of it merited attention, but my opinion might be changing with this Sabra Ankle Boot. I like the mix of suede and shiny patent leather, and the mix is subtle enough that the style isn’t too trendy. I’m a little iffy on the peach-colored trim (wouldn’t it have been WAY better in a dark brown?) but I could see an argument for a lighter pop of color. At any rate, ankle boots are so effing useful (I don’t know how I could live without my current pair), and you could certainly go a lot more wrong than to invest in this pair.
Also available in black, with all black trim.
$118, down from $350, over at Gilt. (Yeah I do seem a little Gilt-centric these days eh? I’ll try and mix it up soon.)
