Full disclosure: this dress is already sold out, but that doesn’t stop me blogging about it. I also am already fully aware that the gigantic floral shape on dress forms has been done and done (see: Carrie, Sex and the City movie), but again, see above.
I like how Temperley London has taken a new spin on things. Instead of a floaty chiffon nightmare, the petals become more grounded with the black edging. The sheer under-petal keeps the blossom from looking too flat, and the little pop of color in the middle is a nice cherry on top. Heck, what with the studs, this might as well be the rocker-chic version of the giant flower dress, and if this is the new direction rocker-chic is going, I am so on board.
I will say this though—I’d much rather have had a thick strap instead of the three dainty ones on the back.
